Shaolin Gongfu (Shaolin Kungfu)
What is Shaolin Gongfu?
Shaolin Gongfu (kungfu) is also , more correctly, known as Shaolin
Quan, which means Shaolin fist or boxing. China has a long history
of martial arts and Shaolin Quan is a blend of Buddhist introspection
and traditional folk wushu or martial arts.
In 495 AD in Henan province, central China Shaolin Si (Shaolin
Temple) was built on the orders of the Emperor Xiaowen (467-499)

Over time various wushu masters came to the temple and shared their
knowledge with the monks who slowly developed their own style which
we see today.
